WE DID IT!

What a campaign!
Because of all of you, we had a successfully funded campaign! I will admit, it was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster these last 21 days but I am so grateful to have so many of you with us.
So what happens next?
Initial Cards Charged
Over the next few days, BackerKit will begin charging your card for the amount pledged. If you were one of the few folks who chose the pay over time method, you'll make your first payment as well. We'll work with anyone whose pledge errors until it gets fixed. I'm committed to you all getting your books and pins!
Surveys
Once the majority of the funs have been collected and sent to me, I will open up surveys. These will allow you to answer some questions so that I can be sure I'm getting you everything you need. If you chose the pay over time option, you won't get your survey until you've paid in full.
You will also have another opportunity to purchase add-ons during the survey. And I've added a few things that weren't available during the campaign so do be sure to check them out. There's digital and physical items that I hope might interest you.
Final Stretch Goal
We didn't quite hit high enough to unlock Celestial Tales for everyone, but I wanted to make a special offer. If we can raise enough through survey add-ons to get us past $6,000 before November 1, 2024, then I will add that to everyone's pledge!
Shipping Charges
Given hat the books will be coming from overseas, they aren't due to arrive until towards the end of the year. Because of that, we won't be ready to ship until the new year and since postage rates fluctuate, especially around the holiday time, it made sense to wait to charge shipping until we have a firmer sense of what it will be.
All of that to say that everyone who pledged to a physical tier, you will see a note on your survey that shipping will be charged later. I will likely be charging shipping in January 2025. I will of course post an update before those charges are assessed so you are ready for them.
For now, I am going to rest and get my ducks in order behind the scenes so that you all get your books and can dive into this fantastical world.
FINAL HOURS AND $185 TO GO!

We are down to the wire, folks!
We have a little over 6 hours to go before this campaign wraps up and we are just $185 shy of unlocking Celestial Tales for everyone!
I think we can pull together and make this happen. If we can manage to reach $6,200, that would make this campaign my second most successful campaign to date and my MOST successful single volume campaign ever!
This campaign has been all about celebrating this anniversary and I want to celebrate this extra milestone with you.
So, share the campaign, browse back through the add-ons and if you haven't pledged for your copy yet, don't wait!

Happy Saturday all!
I hope you are weekend is off to a good start. We're got some rain here in the Boston area, so it's been a wet and drizzly day. But things are continuing to move along.
The Voting Results
The poll has closed and by overwhelming majority, you all want Celestial Tales to be our next unlocked short story. So when we hit $6,000, you'll all receive a copy of this collection. It gives a lot of fun character background on Molly and my Celestial Academy young adult series. From angelic wars, to redemption. It has a little something for everyone and is a great companion to the series as whole. A little reminder, you can grab the e-book for $10 in the add-ons.
A Bonus Bonus
New Poll + New Add-Ons Available!

We are only a week away from the campaign wrapping up and we've got some big news!
First, we've hit our next stretch goal of $5,000 which means EVERYONE gets a FREE copy of The Crystalline Gate. I really had fun writing this story and giving some backstory and tidbits to develop in my Guardians of Camelot series. I hope you'll all enjoy it.
This also means it is time for a new poll! Make sure you vote on which story you want to unlock next!
New Add-Ons
We have also added a couple of new digital and physical add-ons for you to check out. While Captivity may have been Molly and my first foray into joint authorship, it is by no means the end. We wrote a twisty four-book angel academy series featuring the daughters of the Archangel Michael and Lucifer. It's got enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, a unique twist on angels and demons, mystery and drama. Plus, both the e-book and the hardcover features additional art by Therena Carlin. She did an amazing job bringing our two heroines to life!
I challenge all of you to share this campaign with two people you know enjoy fantasy and specialty books by September 22nd. I think if we do that, we can absolutely unlock the next stretch goal!
That Time I Tried To Write A Second Chance Romance...

I'll be frank, romance is not my strong suit. I much prefer action and mysteries to just building relationships. But when Molly and I set out to write Captivity, we'd intended that Aiden and Lorlei would find their way back to each other after horrible circumstance ripped them apart. It was supposed to take time. Aiden wasn't the man Lorelei fell in love with. In fact he had no memory of their time together at all. It would have been a bumpy road that ultimately ended up in happiness for the pair.
That didn't exactly work out.
While I won't spoil the ending for you, I will say that within the first four or five chapters, Douglas and Xander showed up and it became very obvious that our plan to reunite our two main characters was about to go off the rails. Douglas and Lorelei had a history of their own that preceded the start of our tale. And Xander was just so charismatic that Aiden couldn't help but be drawn to him.
And thus, the characters dictated that the plot undergo a significant narrative change. And who were we to argue? (Fun side note: I've only ever written one other book where the characters completely derailed my carefully laid plans). So this is not something that happens often for us. But in the log run, this shift in focus allowed us to tell a better story. One of redefining what it means to have a second chance at happiness. To embrace change and see the world through a different lens.
Part of what made this world so rich to us was that it was populated by so many different creatures who all shared the common goal to make the world a better place. I like to think a lot of us are just trying to do that.
So, if that type of story calls to you, come join the Magical Creature Underground and claim your copy today.
And if you can help spread the word, I know that we'll smash through our current goal and get a chance to rise even higher!
